Lone Echo 2 was only 23GB if I remember that correctly. Asgard's Wrath, Medal of Honor A & B and DiRT 2 are the only VR compatible games I know to be bigger - Hitman 3 was 60GB and Alyx 65GB. Btw, F1 2022 will support some RTX features, I doubt we'll get those in VR...

Yup, but even 80+ GB pancakes with VR support are few - ok, forgot to add FS2020. Hopefully the VR support will be good, I do enjoy Cars 3 and DiRT 2.

That is where I spend most of my time in VR. It has a very good and substantial VR following in addition to pancake. I will definitely be pre-ordering F1 2022! Already have the racing gear for it, has been sitting idle for several months will be good to use it again. Btw this is huge for VR - EA Sports releasing this very popular franchise title with VR support built in. Says a lot for how VR has been coming along. Previously Microsoft released their very popular franchise title MSFS - 2020, without VR support initially but they quickly added it a few months after release - that was huge as well. That one takes up 167 GB of my drive.

Is there a mode for casual players in MSFS2020 - you know, for the pilots who think even Ultrawings can be demanding? ;-) This is kinda a big AAA year - getting both Hitman 3 and F1 2022 with VR support. No matter what the average Joe says, Hitman 3 VR is a full AAA package. Just played it last night, and if you obey the rules of controller use, there's an awesome VR experience to be found. Hitman 3 is designed to be played seated. Hitman 3 VR is 55% off on Steam until May 16. About $25 instead of $60. Hitman Trilogy for $45 instead of $100. I just upgraded to the full trilogy.

Hmm maybe I will take a look at Hitman 3 , my problem now lies with having the time to do anything else beyond the games that already keep me totally captivated. Regarding your question - no but MSFS 2020 is really already what I would consider casual, at least compared to my other combat flight sims. MSFS 2020 it is pretty easy to just hop in a GA plane and go. Plus they do have some training flights as well. The scenery is just freakin gorgeous. They did something totally new with it, the data is streamed from Bing Maps hence the realism. I love flying low over the country side in places I have lived and been to, so very realistic. Oh and I think I mentioned elsewhere, I did get my pre-order placed for the Championship Edition of F1 2022. July is going to be an awesome month provided I can actually tear myself away from flight sims for a short while. But for this - yeah I think I can.

Thanks, btw both for MSFS2020 and F1 2022 it says on Steam only keyboard + mouse are supported for VR.
Is it true you can't use an Xbox controller for MSFS2020 in VR? - I also have HOTAS - that must work in VR too?!
I really don't use mouse and keyboard in VR, can't see anything with the hmd on, lol.

Yeah MSFS 2020 has a pretty good setup for HOTAS equipment, no problem there. I use a VKB Gunfighter Pro with extension for my stick, Virpil CM3 Throttle, and MFG Crosswind rudder pedals. All work beautifully in MSFS 2020. XBox controller should work as well no problem, as the sim is now also officially supported on the XBox. And I am quite sure F1 2022 will have wheel and pedals support, no concerns there for me. I just hope they tune their VR for decent performance. MSFS 2020 does surprisingly well in VR. Also MS went with TAA for antialiasing and Open XR runtime for VR which was a great choice on both counts for performance.

Well crap we are going out of town to visit family for the holiday weekend here, so guess I will miss the initial launch. That is ok I guess as still have my hands full in my DCS Apache learning process. Just got a new Virpil Collective to compliment the chopper as well. F1 2022 will certainly be waiting for me on my return.

I was not impressed, and the game wanted me to upgrade my video card driver (giving me an error everytime I start the game) - I don't do that for just one game, especially not a racing game.
The game did work, but was very blurry - it helped reducing TAA and increasing sharpening. Performance wasn't very good, but I forced ultra settings and SteamVR res 200%.
I've already refunded, I have several racing games I like better, like DiRT 1-2 and Project Cars 1-3.
I have racing games from 2017 looking and performing better. If I pay about $65 for a game and it takes up about 50 GB, then I expect graphics looking a lot better.
