Having successfully completed three Spitfire WWII campaigns all of which were great fun I have now moved to learning the twin engined Mossie. Already grabbed the first campaign I will fly with it, but still getting my arms wrapped around this magnificent wooden bird and getting all controls setup like I would like. I should be ready to start the campaign here very soon. Getting proper eye tracking with dynamic foveated rendering with the Aero for DCS came at a wonderful time for me.

Ok so I am just gonna put this here. It is not DCS sim but actually Hornet carrier action. I put it here as DCS does such a good job of emulating the type of stuff seen in the video... In all my DCS flying with the different aircraft, flying the Hornet in single player carrier ops attacking targets inland is still my favorite way to play. It is quite the rush.

Looks like you'll need that 7090 Ti ;-) Does look beyond impressive. Yes all is in game footage. DCS is gorgeous really especially in VR. I run with vsync in Varjo Base on and locked at 45 fps and get a very good experience. This is with Dynamic Foveated Rendering/Eye Tracking. Center of my focus vision is 39 PPD. Maybe a little higher as I SS it some as well. If I do not run with vsync forced at 45 fps it will hit 90 fps much of the time, but not all of the time and get more anomolies that way.

It does look better than Alyx - how many GB is the install size? I hope it's not 0.5TB :-) I might try it some day :-)

If just the free Caucasus Map and couple of planes not that big I wouldn't think. My install with several planes and maps totals 541 GB. The big thing with DCS though is the learning curve of the planes.

DCS F-15E was released today. I pre-ordered it, but honestly have no idea when I am going to be able to tackle learning it with the others I am working on learning now.

Tring to get motivated to getting back to my Apache learning process here soon. Need to hook up my Virpil Collective and get some more stick time in with it. So much to do, so little time... Got a P-51 Mustang WWII campaign I want to do first though.

mbucchia - the MS guy behind working the majic to get dynamic foveated rendering based on eye tracking going (in his spare time) has now got it working for the Pimax Crystal as well. Waiting on Pimax to push an update that will enable eye tracking on their headset, then it will be good to go.
So now we have Aero, Quest Pro, and Pimax Crystal than can do it. DCS and MSFS 2020 works with it. There are some others that do as well afaik but namely these two flight sims currently. I think iRacing has it now as well. Hoping this will catch on with future headsets. It makes such an incredible difference in the performance department - the gain is seriously big.

I started with DCS with the original Black Shark in 2008. This was even before there was a DCS World (Just DCS) and before they offered the modules form of purchases. Only map was the Caucuses. When I first started getting into that original Black Shark sim, I thought holy cow how am I going to learn all of this as it truly modeled the entire cockpit along with buttons/switches per the real thint. With exception of any classified stuff. I had never seen this before in a PC-Flight simulator. This was incredibly detailed and very involved.
Their next plane was the A-10C Warthog. I purchased it and to this day have never learned it lol.
Well I hung in there with it - sort of - until finally retiring in 2016 and then started giving it my full attention. Prior to retirement I traveled - a lot - and spent most weeks out of town. Then VR for me came in early 2017 and wow that was a complete game changer. I have come a long way since retiring with the sim, have learned a small amount of modules and working on hopefully learning more. It is an incredible sim that really has come quite a way in 15 years. And from all indications they have much planned for the future. Good time to be a flight sim enthusiast. Pretty sure I won't be around to see another 15 years however I am sure going to enjoy the years I will have with it. Hopefully.
