The 3080 Ti has arrived - but $1199 is a lot more pricey for the 3080 Ti than anticipated - 3090 is only $300 more: VR got a few comments to - go to 10:38. - and some more ... stuff... - maybe the biggest news, Doom Eternal gets ray-traced, maybe a good thing I've far from having completed that game yet, lol - even though ray-tracing might only help little for immersion compared to VR: Read everything here: www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/computex-2021-announcements/

Seems I'm not alone being shocked about the US$ 1200 price: https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/nppyyt/the_3080_ti_is_terribly_priced/ Really makes little sense with only 12GB ram. But then again - you do get 3090 performance in most games (probably). Psychologically Nvidia made the smart move in their sales pitch to only compare 3080 Ti to other Ti cards - 1080 Ti & 2080 Ti. - Because if you compared the $1200 3080 Ti to the $800 3080, I bet nothing would make sense, lol. 50% higher price gives you 10% more performance - and 20% more vram?! But now people can see that the 3080 Ti is faster than both 1080 Ti and 2080 Ti

First benchmarks - but 3080 Ti is oc'ed: videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-synthetic-gaming-and-mining-review-leaks-ahead-of-launchConclusion: "In 3DMark software, it appears that there is a minimal gap between RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3090. Both stock and overclocking scenarios show less than a 3% difference. The performance difference between RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3080 non-Ti is ranging from 12 to 5%, depending on the settings. This really shows that a massive increase in price over the non-Ti model is simply difficult to justify."

About the suggested US$ 1,200 retail price from Nvidia for the RTX 3080 Ti... This may very well be much more accurate in the real world, unfortunately Here in Denmark, today I can only see RTX 3090 in stock 3 places, and in 2 places prices have crossed the US$ 4,000 line - the other is at US$ 3,000. These prices do include 25 % Danish VAT, but still...
