^^^Yeah it is sods law that the moment i buy a index Valve will release the Index II for the same price, or cheaper. lol Lol HTC release the Vive Pro 2 like a month after I purchased my Index. At least I already had the Lighthouse 2 tracking system for it.

This game looks Awesome - Roguelite shooter. Outlier I know I'm misbehaving - but I just couldn't help it - wrote to the devs earlier today: "Why is the size of the game set to just 2GB? Doesn't the game have any high-res textures? Have all high-res textures been omitted to make the game ready for the Quests? From Steam: RECOMMENDEDRequires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i7 Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: Geforce GTX 1070 or greater DirectX: Version 11 Storage: 2 GB available space store.steampowered.com/app/1596690/OUTLIER/Nice to see dynamic shadows though, and view distance seems great - I hope the poly count won't be same as the Quest version (models in the trailer do look quite blocky to me indicating a low poly count)." They did answer and said they just copied the recommended specs from one of their earlier games, so game size is not known yet. Now they know I'm watching them, and they still have time to reduce Questification symptoms I can live with low poly count, just give us some awesome ultra-res textures - like they did with Boneworks, which does not have the greatest poly count, but has the most amazing "ultramersion" textures.

Really have no problems with the Index - btw, saw one short film on Viveport Video (Vimeo) last night - it looked so awesome I felt close to being in a real cinema. I think the movie was true 4k res - stopped to load a few times, I've never had that before indicating high bandwidth need, and image quality was best ever. Might get PSVR2, but I'm fully satisfied with the Index. Of course if I can get much better res with no performance impact, then again I don't believe in free lunches.

Can't help thinking this actually could be interesting: Even if recommended system requirements are: OS: Windows 7 / 8 / 10 Processor: Intel Core i5-6440 / Ryzen 5 2400 Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 3080Ti / AMD Radeon RX 6900 XTNetwork: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 1 GB available space Source: store.steampowered.com/app/1657900/Carrier_Command_2_VR/

Well this PS5 cost me the same as my present GTX1080 did 3 years ago, £450, and it just blew me away with the visuals and performance boost that it has given the PSVR and NO Mans Sky, and that game is still only running in legacy PS4 pro mode so it's limited to the spec of the pro machine even on the PS5, but the oomph they have managed to give the game running on the PS5 is amazing, and i can't get the game on my PC to run this smoothly, but on the PS5 it is pin sharp and smooth as silk and all that on a 6 year old PSVR that looks stunning, and after seeing this i have no problems betting the PSVR II is going to be a beast of a VR system, and if the rumours are true and the PSVR II is a one cable inside out tracking Sony might also have a HMD that PC gamers will also be snapping up, and that oled panel in the PSVRII could be what make the PSVRII the new VR king in 2021, we shall see.

Although and on a personal note it would be nice if we could go back to when gaming was seen a weird and for nerds only, as i am not happy that everyone and their granny are now gaming, i miss being looked at in strange way by counter staff when i go up to the country with a game. lol

But then I am used to flying in DCS World with some amazing graphics.

Which PCVR headset do you use? I tried it on psvr and it looks a lot better than it did but i found that its still missing a lot of the details on pc version. Shorter view range less flora etc. When I look into distance mountains/hills look barren but on pc i can still see all the flora. Theres also more flora on my settings. But I have a 3090 and I think it looks and plays better on my G2. That being said, the oled of the psvr does shine in this game. Its a super colorful game with a lot of saturation and OLED definitely pops here. G2 and vive pro 2 aren’t far behind except in the dark areas but psvr def wins for colors. Index and Quest 2 just look alright with the latter being least impressive. But yea with a 1080 nms is a bear to run well especially with no DLSS help. Will be interesting to see what they can turn on for a true ps5 version but they will probably hold that back for psvr 2 to make a bigger splash.

Yeah your 30xx card will knock it out the park with all that spare grunt, but my 1080 is fine with the cv1/vive, but with the Quest II via pc link and 5g it is a utter pig, as not having a dedicated display port is killing the QII for me, but on the PSVR i get a really nice sharp visuals, no glare, plus it's just turn on, slip the psvr on, relax in the recliner and explore space, and no pc fans kicking into overdrive, although my PC is a quiet as a church mouse compared to my Pro when pushing vr, that thing sounded like a jump jet taking off and right now it would have burst into flames with the heat and humidity here at the mmoment lol
So bang for buck the PS5 has been well worth the upgrade from my wheezing pro. Ha

Ha Yea no doubt. Since Ive gotten my Quest 2 I have always found that it has a steep performance tax when running it in link mode. A lot of the time I can actually push the G2 to an acceptable image and sharpness level for less cost than the Q2 takes. But if you dont care about a super sharp image then Q2 does fine. Also with only having a 1080 you dont have access to the latest nvidia encoders so Image quality is worse than a 2000 or 3000 series. So yea, all of that factors in to the value. I personally hardly use my PSVR anymore because of the lenses always fogging and I still find the level of graphic detail in a lot of the games too low for my liking but thats because they’re all ps4 pro versions still but the headset is still nice overall.

^^^Yeap, and not just the performance hit with the QII either, staying connected to the PC has been a major issue over the last 2 updates, i don't know what they have done to make it so unstable now, but i have given up in it and the QII is back to being just the Go II now, nothing worse when your time it limited and you just want a hour roaming the galaxy and you spend 20 mins of that trying to get the QII to stay connected, something i have never had with the CV1 or Vive. Oh and i got £200 for my PS4 Pro Ltd edition GOW in a trade in, so the actual cost of my money for the PS5 was £250, a utter steal, i am so ready for the PSVRII.

Into the Radius 2.0 released today. Lot of new features. You try it first, I have the Oculus version, not sure I can go back... I really like the v. 1.0, so always worry about Questification trends, lol - but I've been burnt before, so usually I don't patch my Oculus games (where auto patching can be disabled compared to Steam)

You can still stick with 1.0 if you wish on steam. There's instructions in that quoted box.
