I find this headset somewhat tempting. Love that form factor and fact it is native PC-VR. OLED micro displays and native Steam VR tracking. The only question then would be, are there really any games I would rather play in this headset rather than my Aero? Half LIfe Alyx would certainly be one with those OLED displays would be awesome I think. It also does not have audio but I always use earbuds plugged into my Creative Sound Dac. So this headset would really fit my style of running VR. My mainstay - flight sims - though obviously would be much better in the Aero. So not sure it would be worth the 1k for me to grab one unless I decided to get more into various types of VR experiences outside of sims. Not sure that will ever happen.
But that form factor - so sweet. I could well be wrong but I am thinking the Bigscreen guys may really be onto something here. The key to VR success IMHO is to reduce the friction in use - this is a good first step I think. Now if they could just get good inside/out tracking that support headset and controllers in that same form factor - or even less...
